Beau Haddock did a great job on the Title song...check out Beau's website

Check out Beau's music on his website. His past affiliation with the "Little River Band" has become well known, but Beau Haddock is much more than the originator of a '70s pop/rock group....remember "Lonesome Loser"...one of LRB's biggest hits that helped to bring the group to it's well known status...(just a reminder...)Well, that was then, and this is now...What you will hear on Beau's website is all Beau! It's all fresh, and it's all not just now, but it's "Right Now"!!! Click the link and check him out! Click on title above. Beau's appearances, courtesy of Crooning Loon Records!

Stand Like A Mountain Movie Trailer is "Awesome"...

I have to congratulate everyone for a great acting job, and that includes the entire cast! Congratulations are also in order for Terry Muncy on a great script...and to Kameron Mogadam for excellence in directing and filming. The people of Harlan County will be proud, also, for the reverence depicted in the beauty of their little piece of the world. One look at the movie trailer will let them know that this is not just another "ho-hum story about backwoods hillbillies...Yeah, there is grit and gravel, but it's about real people in real life situations, with real problems that people encounter all over this country today! True Harlan Countians and Kentuckians in general, will be applauded after this movie hits the screen. So, don't be surprised if there is a "standing ovation" at the premier of "Stand Like A Mountain". Thanks again to everyone for your excellence!

Lonesomest Sound In The World

Brandy Ewing sings, Michael Kelly plays, Tara Pope is featured with this soon to be a "classic" song, written by Terry Muncy, for the sound track of the movie "Stand Like A Mountain"...also "destined" to be a "classic" feature film. Special thanks to Wayne Davis for his "engineering", and the use of his studio in Hazard, Kentucky.

Tara Pope pics unrelated to the movie trailer...click here

Tara and Katlyn (sisters) both have a small album of pics on the link above which are unrelated to the movie trailer

Tara and sister Katlyn

"Tara Pope is in her second year of law school at the University of Kentucky. She also attended UK for her undergraduate work where she received a B.A. in English, with a minor in Political Science. Tara doesn't have much time for hobbies between school, her involvement in Kentucky Law Journal, and her work as a research assistant. However, when she has free time she loves to read fiction and spend time with friends. She also enjoys playing the guitar and crocheting, but because of a lack of practice, is still a beginner at both!"

More studio pics...sorry about the photo quality

Recording studio

We went in the studio (Wayne Davis studio in Hazard,Ky...) with Michael and Terri Kelly and Brandy Ewing, Helen Morgan and I already had vocals on the Thunder on the Mountain song, but we added Mike's Banjo and Brandy's harmony to that song...then we made a new cut on The Lonesomest Sound In The World song with just Mike's Banjo and Brandy's vocal...I'm putting together a video of that..and I'll post it when it's done... I took photos at the session, but they all came out terrible...low light...sorry...

Birthday Party scene for Laurie

In this scene Harlan presents Laurie with a birthday cake and an engagement ring...there were not supposed to be any cameras on this set but...even after Kameron Mogadam says,"No cameras",Tara,( who plays Laurie), well, her mom Cathy couldn't resist...so...sorry...Kameron...but here's a sneak preview...haha...and by the way, you'll here us all singing "Happy Birthday"...this is when we were filming the "Rented Mule" song...that Wolf Creek Grass helped us out with...it's just a little short clip...ha ...but this really is "behind the scenes"...
P.S. Pardon the cell phone...that won't be in the movie trailer!

New song cuts for the movie trailer soundtrack

Some of the members of "Wolf Creek" Grass...Michael and Terri Kelly along with "Solo" artist Brandy Ewing went in the studio with me and we added Mike's unique banjo style and Brandy's harmony to the "Thunder on the Mountain" tracks we had cut previously...and... we did a brand new, no let's say..."Brandy New" version of "Lonesomest Sound In The World"...this version is a "Keeper"...Michael played some hauntingly lonesome banjo licks and Brandy Ewing gave a vocal performance to match... the results are phenomenal...Muncy's song and Gilbert's arrangement makes a Mike Kelly and Brandy Ewing "Classic"...I will post a new video of this cut soon! Great Job to all!
